About
these trips
Come if you love to learn in
historic or natural settings
These are confidence-building
workshops for photographers who love history, dilapidated
buildings and/or the outdoors. Come to shoot, explore
and share your work. We always use your pictures
to discuss what contributes to a successful image.
Bring any form of digital camera; it doesn't matter if you bring a point-and-shoot
or a medium-format back. Great images are not about equipment; they're about
composition, light, message or perhaps something else.
About Me
I'm a working professional
photographer
I decided to set up my own
workshop because I love Vermont in the fall and couldn't
find the right group to travel with. I was looking
for some good camaraderie, loosely structured photo
guidance and like-minded people to share the time with.
I also love to share my work and hear what people think
of it! If you're anything like me, sign up!
I am a professional photographer in New York City. I specialize in women's
portraiture and make a significant portion of my living from stock photography.
I wasn't always this lucky. I worked on Wall Street for many years where I
learned a lot about computers and people. When I left the industry, I had no
idea that I would end up where I am. If you're one of those people who've always
dreamed about making a living doing what you love, this workshop could change
your life.
Where to stay
I've reserved a block of rooms at a local hotel.
About the Weather
Vermont's October weather
is normally clear, cool and dry. If it's none of the
above, I'll still encourage you to go out and shoot
so bring gear for cold, wet and windy conditions.
If it's really bad, I'll have plenty of indoor alternatives from charming pubs
to Photoshop demonstrations.
